He has worked, recorded, or collaborated with classical musicians and opera singers Betty Allen, Klara Barlow, Walter Cassel, Margaret Harshaw, Martha Lipton, Kevin Maynor, Steve Oosting, Giorgio Tozzi, and Virginia Zeani; and jazz musicians David Baker, Don Braden, Cecil Brooks III, Ed Cherry, Ratzo B. Harris, Billy Hart, Tim Horner, John Isley, Steve Johns, Marshall McDonald, Bucky Pizzarelli, among many others.  His discography includes classical recordings as a soloist, accompanist and choral music conductor, jazz recordings, and recordings for meditation. Lou Caimano – Alto Saxophone and Arranger



Lou Caimano is a saxophonist, composer, educator and administrator, and has been a working member of the Greater New York area musician’s free-lance community since 1981. He is the composer/arranger of numerous jazz fusion, new age and commercial compositions, including the CDs “Manhattan Twilight” and the first “Dyad” collaboration with Eric Olsen. He has performed as part of the Broadway orchestras of A Chorus Line, Baby, CATS, Dancin’, David Copperfield, Evita, 42nd Street, La Cage Aux Folles, Mame, Manhattan Showboat, Woman of the Year and Shrek the Musical. He has also played sax for “Salaire” at Grand Theatre de Bordeaux, Musique Municipal, Orchestre de Harmonie, and the Lansing Symphony. Caimano also has extensive experience performing with various jazz and pop acts including Clark Terry, Nancy Wilson, Gary Burton, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Rita Moreno, and Jerry Vale. He has also appeared in the movies “Muppets Take Manhattan” and “The Juror.” He is currently the director of The Ridgewood Conservatory, a private Fine Arts school in Paramus, NJ, that he founded in 1998.
